Antibacterial Rooting Powder!!

This is a formulation that I’ve developed over the last 15 years of growing cacti.  0.5% IBA is the best concentration of IBA I’ve found for rooting cactus cuttings.  The 20% sulfur stops fungal and bacterial growth without damaging the plant.  Apply this to bottom of a cutting before the cut dries out, and then let it callus over before planting.   The cutting in the photo (trichocereus bridgesii monstrose) formed roots 2 weeks after application of the antibacterial rooting hormone. This powder is especially helpful for wet climates, but I use it even in Boise where its very dry typically.
